The staff within Direct Care are responsible for organising a number of outdoor pursuits. The activities are available for all Direct Care young people, where appropriate, and include rock climbing, mountain biking, hill walking, map reading, canoeing, camping and wild camping.
We have organised and completed a number of activities such as climbing Snowdon and are also active in raising money for the military charity Help for Heroes. The young people are involved in the planning and preparation for the activities as well as taking part teaching them valuable skills which can be used in everyday life.
Direct Care believes in the value of the outdoors and physical activity in encouraging children to engage and increase confidence and self-esteem.
